"Who Knew" by Corella

“I been searching high and I’m searching low…”

Corella, a Croydon, South London artist, independently put out a self exposing track titled “Who Knew”, which she produced herself. “Who Knew” is filled with fun facts of what she has done and prepared to do… but who knew? Who cares? As now we know, almost better like Headie One and RV.

“Fuck around, I’ll kill tryna hold my own”

Corella seems to announce a clear warning that she is prepared to go to extremities of maybe even murder to ensure she can hold her own and be self-sufficient. It is great to know she is passionate.

“Struggle is real and yet I know, no way am I giving up”

A very motivational mantra, as despite struggle Corella must continue and constantly chooses to as we all have something to live for, and with her it’s almost as obvious as her talent. Being a boss babe includes believing in yourself.

“I already blew what I come up and I know it’s true did it one up…”

Something every boss babe on her road to success can stumble upon is coming up, making money, and spending it all. This showcases a more relatable side to Corella as in life this is incredibly easy to do, even if it is simply your monthly wage or universal credit, thank you Mr. Government.

GOV.UK, the nation loves you.

“Who knew what I do for the gwolla? Do what I wanna, steal, man I borrow…”

Again, we learn more about Corella’s limits and what she is prepared to do for money, which sounds like almost anything. Who knew what Corella would do for money… Unless they’ve personally been victim of her stealing or borrowing, as the difference is all in intention, even if the action is just taking something that belongs to someone else, once it’s in her hands it’s hers.

“Buy new shoes and my uz’ for the summer these times you though I was done, are you dumb?”

Between shoes and an uz’, a fashionably gun, Corella has a pricey shopping list for some and yet she’s still not done. Suffering for fashion there is plenty more purchases to be made to ensure Corella is fly, fresh and on trend every summer. “Suns out Airforce 1s out” as DigDat says.

“Never mind what I rep I’m alright with my tech, g check on your neck”

Ooo a babe and a baddie, as Corellas seems to have experience with Mac and her tech so her skills must be up to par with professionals of make-up, as she’s a woman of many traits… or is it guns? Who knows? Who Knew?

“Who Knew” is a great progressive tune for any babe to listen to and bounce back. Corella speaks of tales that could lead to trauma like being “sliced”, but despite the struggle being “real” she prevails as she continues to try.
