Beckah Allure x Ventura Beauty Taster Class

Saturday 19th March 2022, the boss babes of Beckah Allure and Ventura Beauty came together to provide the taster class any babe can be inspired by. During this taster I have been advised first hand as well as gained my first taste of practical experience, with hands on assistance from all parties.

The taster course ran all day (with lunch of course) and was split into two parts to allow a session for each boss babe to tell their story, teach, and empower the attendees by reminding us that we are all capable to do anything, in time, and with work.

My session began by being welcomed to the taster by both Beckah and Toria with them running through the day and introducing us to our goodie bags packed with the essentials to get started with lash application and get your wig laid! We then had time to outline our goals and plans, which is something I believe every boss babe should do often, it’s great to see what direction you’re heading in. What does your heart desire babe?

Toria is the self made boss babe that started Ventura Beauty by providing individual lash sets. The presentation began with an introduction to Ventura Beauty and the journey Toria embarked on to make progress. Her story was insightful and her words ring true for anyone looking to pursue success, skill will always outweigh talent. There is no limit to the amount of research one can do to further their knowledge, in practically anything, because everything can be learned.

After learning about the potential of a lash tech, I got my first chance to practise application. My goal is to develop my application skills, before anything else. Thanks to the amazing vendor list provided I have yet to decide what individuals I’ll first purchase for practise, but I know they’ll be shipped from Britain. Quality is important, which was reinforced during the taster.  My progress pics are below, from class, to at home application.

During the second half I was able to learn that everyone’s story is different, but to achieve some level of success there are a few qualities, like determination, perseverance and willingness that support success. Both Beckah and Toria showcase these qualities when sharing their journey with us. I also learned the potential earnings and adventures of being a hairstylist and how to install a frontal wig during the second half.

Beckah gave a very thorough tutorial of a frontal installation. It included mixing the bleach, bleaching the knots, plucking the hairline, application and styling the baby hairs, as well as hair. The experience was brilliant and like being a live participant in a YouTube tutorial. I even got the opportunity to pluck my first wig, learning a very useful technique to create a natural looking hairline, and the reason behind it.

It is always fantastic to be apart of a group of people with the goal of bettering themselves and fuelling the economy by generating business. Influencer, Miah Carter, was present originally as a model and instantly became a brilliant addition to the taster. She offered invaluable, honest advice from an influencers perspective, and is another reminder that the possibilities and opportunities to learn are endless when you make efforts towards something. It’s always a good idea to get outside, put yourself out there and try something.

As promised I received my vendor list with even more than had been discussed. Both Toria and Beckah gave attendees their numbers to have close contact with them, enabling us to receive future 1 on 1 advice. Their willingness to support us one our own journeys to help reach our goals is priceless, and I appreciate all the support I’ve received and the openness in communication since. Beckah gave insightful advice as to how to approach the vendors for the best deals. So far I am actually in talks with one myself, just deciding what sample wig I want as well as bundles, thank God for girls.

Special thanks to a school friend of mine “Neish” that had reposted this taster class and brought it to my attention. Girls supporting girls is great to see, and it only helps us grow.
