Bis “Streets”

I’m in the Streets.  Say that she fucking with me but…

Crosslom Davis also known as ‘Bis’ is a rapper artist hailing from Kennington, South London. Bis is known for being a super hot member of the London drill group Harlem Spartans. On 17th October 2020  “Streets” was released, which is a lyrical tale of life in the streets from Bis’s perspective, produced by Black Lion Beats. Black Lion Beats is able to build a hypnotising beat, that Bis flows on naturally, whilst flaunting his incredible wordplay.

“They live lies and the shits appalling”

In life, with the more we experience the more we learn that not all people like to live their truth. It can be difficult for people when “they” cannot face the way they’re living. Every babe in this life will meet people that fits the description of “they”,  by “living lies” and Bis is correct to state it’s “appalling”.

“Hotty, hotty I’m cocky. Could you handle my doggy?”

Bis has charm, and is charismatic. He showcases his more flirtatious side when he addresses a babe as “hotty”. He says it twice so maybe he’s talking to a babe that just needs to hear it twice, or he’s being assertive, either way it is attention grabbing. Bis is direct stating he’s “cocky”, a great play on words as it makes sense if he’s speaking from his cock’s perspective and from his own stating he’s “cocky”, confidently. This is simply another nod to Bis’s capabilities before he poses the question “could you handle my doggy?” I’m sure any true bitch could. I wonder what the babes say that’s had the pleasure…

“It’s bands on bands for them rockets.“

In three lines sentences Bis is able to paint a very clear picture. Firstly, Bis gives us the truth about “rockets” (a.k.a guns), they are incredibly exxxpensive!!! Bands on bands means thousands to fly bullets, costing over the minimum full time monthly salary of I’m guessing £1400. Well despite rockets being expensive Bis must be able to afford it as he is shot sporting Dolce and Gabbana in his last released video “Beretta”.

“Red him, red him up I won’t vomit. When it get's blue then I'm Sonic”

Bis is no stranger to the colour palette, and with this knowledge he creates great colour imagery. Bis uses “Red” as an adjective, to describe inflicting pain on others to the point it makes “him” get bloody; hence why Bis announces his bravery that he won’t vomit at a “red” scene. Bis follows with the mention of another primary colour “blue”, in reference to the blue lights of the police. When it gets “blue” as police/ambulance make they’re presence in known in the area , Bis implies he is moving at super speed, when he calls himself “Sonic”. Sonic is a famous, world renowned hedgehog, that also happens to be blue. I think this is a fabulous play on words and the gist of what Bis does when things get “blue”, he speeds off and away.

“At the end of the day I’m paid, switching lanes”

Bis says it simply and effectively that he is in control of his life and a decision maker. Being “paid” enables Bis the freedom of choice, making decisions without money being a hindering factor. Bis also gives us a hint at his future plans, like going to university, which was revealed by his mother, Vivienne Davis, when he mentions “switching lanes”. Maybe that is why he chooses to advice a “bad b”? “Bad b” according to Urban Dictionary is “a peng/sexy girl”, so it makes sense why Bis would be around one. A man of his expertise and life achievements surely has some beneficial instructions to offer a babe, or “bad b” at least as he says…

“Bad b do what I say at the end of the day it pays”

Crosslom ‘Bis’ Davis is an example of a man with a plan in action to better his life. With university ahead of him, he was on the way to expanding his character, changing his lifestyle and focusing his life around learning in an educational institute, as all students are forced to do. Bis is a talented artist with incredible creativity which has been proven in the work he has left with us.

He lost his life whilst defending what he believed in. Crosslom ‘Bis’ Davis can be described as a courageous, honourable, remarkable young man, that understands there’s always more to life and there are many ways to attain the things you desire, like “switching lanes”.

Long Live Mr Crosslom ‘Bis’ Davis xx
